Your Bon Appétit culinary team has collaborated with Althea to bring you her favorite recipes from her childhood in Guyana, as well as dishes from Jamaica, Trinidad, and more. About Althea

Althea Brown is a certified Whole30 coach and a leading figure in Caribbean Paleo cooking. Her blog, Metemgee, showcases her passion for the traditional Guyanese and Caribbean dishes she grew up with, while also making her cuisine available to those who have gluten allergies or sensitivities. She was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana, and now resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband and three children.
